The Gift of Future
Every individual deserves to live with dignity and respect, and our aim is to provide a home where these individuals can live, thrive and be happy. The home will provide a comfortable living space, medical support, and rehabilitation programs to help the residents lead a fulfilling life.To make this vision a reality, we require financial support from kind-hearted individuals like you. Any amount you can contribute will help us move closer to our goal and make a positive impact in the lives of these individuals
The Gift of Care
You can support one intellectually disabled individual by bearing cost for one year with The gift of care. We are running a non residential rehab center accommodating special individuals taking care from 10.30 a.m. to 03.30 p.m. from Monday to Saturday.
The Gift of Meal
You can sponsor a breakfast or a lunch for our students. This is a better opportunity to share and celebrate special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries etc. We only allow sponsorship in monetary terms as we need to ensure the items for breakfast/ lunch are suitable to every individual students as they may be following certain diet or medication based on their health condition.
The Gift of Education
Education is the greatest asset for a human being to stand on one’s own leg. We consider it our primary responsibility to provide these individuals, whom we take care of, with education. Your contribution in the form of school bags, notebooks, coloring materials would go a long way in achieving this.
The Gift of Health
Maintaining good health is yet another major requirement of our students. To take care of the health and medical necessities we need a lot of resources. You can contribute by sponsoring their treatments or medication expenses by which we can meet their health care needs.
The Gift of Profession
This is to serve and treat the specially gifted persons who are also economically backward, by providing occupational opportunities and support themselves and their families.

Volunteering is nothing but providing services with a free will, without any expectation. Volunteering is viewed as a significant means to involve people to contribute their resources and skills in the process of development of the society.

Tax Benefits - Indian Citizens

​What are tax benefits for the donations made through Jagruti Palak Sanstha?
All donations made through Jagruti Palak Sanstha are eligible for tax-deduction as follows;

50% deduction under section 80G of Indian Income-tax Act, 1961 (or)

100% deduction under section 35AC of Indian Income-tax Act (only for specific projects e.g. Prime Ministers National Relief fund)
E.g. The 50% deduction means, if your taxable income for the FY 2012-13 is Rs. 300,000 and you have made a donation of Rs 20,000 in the same year; your net taxable income will be Rs. 290,000 and accordingly your final tax will be calculated.
You should also note that donation in monitory form is only eligible for tax deductions. Any donations made in-kind such as clothes, food, stationery etc. are not eligible for tax deduction.

How to claim the tax exemptions?
Tax benefits on the donations can be availed at the time of filing Income-tax returns for the financial year.

What are the documents required for claiming tax benefits?
Jagruti Palak Sanstha will send the scanned copy of the 80G certificate within 3-5 days after your donation is confirmed. You may use certificate as a proof of donation while filing the returns.

Are donations made through payroll eligible for TDS?
No, clause 5.4(19) G of CBDT circular 1/2010 dated 11/01/2010 states that while deducting TDS from the salary ,the employer need not consider 80G payment of the employee. However, the employee can claim the tax benefit of the donation in his income tax returns separately. Please note that the donations should have been made in the same year in which the deduction is sought.

Is there any limit for tax exemption on donations?
If the aggregate of sums donated is more than 10% of the adjusted gross income, the excess amount ceases to be entitled for tax benefit.
